Protection for Musicians

Musicians trade in sound, and forge careers on it. Your inspiration and the music you create depend upon your hearing. Frequent exposure to high levels of sound goes with the territory, so protection is essential for your hearing health as well as your performance as a musician.

Since the sound levels experienced can vary between musicians, their roles and the spaces they occupy whether in performances or rehearsals, there is a range of protection to suit every musician’s needs.

Musician’s ER15 & ER25

Practices and performances expose musicians to high decibels for extended periods of time. Adequate hearing protection is essential to your hearing health, which can affect your performance.

Whereas traditional earplugs just block your ears to sound, the ER15 and ER25 filter every frequency you hear across the board. Your hearing is protected from damaging sound levels without losing sound fidelity.  Many performers and DJs choose these earplugs for their work in high-decibel environments. You may need a different amount of protection depending on your role, environment and location during a performance.

Sound attenuators are available in different classifications, offering higher or lower sound reduction depending on the sound levels which are most common to you. They are also custom-moulded to the shape of your ear canal, providing greater comfort for longer periods of use.

These musician’s earplugs mimic the way your ear receives sound, while also working as a flat-response sound attenuator to ensure that only the volume of sound is decreased, and not the quality.

ER15
Reduces sound across all frequencies by 15dB using a built-in filter.

ER25
Reduces sound across all frequencies by 25dB using a built-in filter.

Musician’s In Ear Monitors

Musician’s In Ear Monitors give musicians the ability to electronically set a comfortable volume level through the amp, and provide attenuation against environmental sounds (like the applause of thousands). Advance supply the PM700S and PM800S at the same low price, without compromise on superior levels of comfort and quality. The degree of complexity available is solely dependent on the size of your ear canal, which may prevent us from fitting triple balanced armature receivers.

PM800S
-Perfect for both recording and live sound environments where sound levels can be higher
-Drivers: Triple balanced armature receivers with passive crossover and subwoofer
-Calibrated with 50” replaceable cables with upward-exiting 3.5mm plug

PM700S
-As specified above except:
-Drivers: Dual balanced armature receivers
