About

All the information you needed to know about Campbell's Hearing Aid Centre and the Staff that work at the centre.

The Centre

Campbell's Hearing Aid Centre has been open in Belfast for over 50 years.

The Staff

Liz Taylor
Administration Manager at Campbell Hearing Aids

I have worked for Campbell Hearing Aids for 16 years. I have enjoyed working for Campbell’s and having a good relationship with a lot of our customers over the years, and we have always tried to make the customers feel very much at home with us. My daily duties are opening the post and if a new order or repair comes in I enter the details on to our customer-relations system. I would send out invoices to customers for repairs and batteries etc.

I also manage the accounts and all invoices received in the office have to be entered onto an account system - this is done on a day to day basis. At the end of each month I would send out monthly statements and Warranty letters to customers.

Both Lillias and I receive telephone calls and deal with the phone calls to the best of our ability. If a patient comes into the office my self or Lillias would help them again to the best of our ability and would always offer them a cup of tea or coffee if they have to wait for a short while.

We are here to help each individual patient on a journey to better hearing. Campbell’s has over 50 years experience in helping the hearing impaired in Northern Ireland and we believe that we offer the premium levels of hearing assessment and highest level of hearing aid technology available anywhere.

The patient journey from assessment through to hearing aid fitting and follow up rehabilitation has the ultimate goal of better hearing and therefore an improved quality of life for each individual patient.

I have been working with Campbell’s since 1998 and I find it very satisfying to see those who are hard of hearing helped and their quality of life greatly improved.

Your hearing is very precious and it is important to protect it, especially when exposed to prolonged periods of loud noise. It is also important to have your hearing checked on a regular basis so why not call into our local centre today for some free advice?

After all - “We have thousands of ears experience”

Before the consultation I try to ensure the client has a 'significant other' (spouse, son/daughter etc) to attend the appointment with them, as it gives them a better understanding of the frustrations /difficulties the hearing impaired person faces on a daily basis.

-I start every consultation by introducing myself and explaining exactly what the consultation entails this generally puts the client at ease as they know what to expect.  I will ask the client about their lifestyle and the areas they tend to struggle with their hearing.   I will also ask the significant other their opinion, as the hearing loss can have an impact on them too.  Following Otoscopy and Audiometry, I explain in a simplified manner the results of the hearing test and always revert back to the areas the client is struggling to hear in, this gives them a better understanding of their hearing loss.  I provide the client with personal rehabilitation advice and ensure the client has realistic expectations and is aware of our excellent long term aftercare services.

-'My job is to help you hear better so please feel free to pop in to the office or ring if you need any further advice'

-I have a great interest in traditional Irish music and have played in an accordion band for 15 years, travelling all over Ireland and Europe to compete.
Before qualifying as a Hearing Aid Audiologist I travelled throughout Indonesia and spent 6 months working in an Australian Hospital.  I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and as it gave me a better understanding of different cultures.
